I do stuff I guess.
I learned about Newgrounds from Nazo Unleashed DX, but I guess my interest spiked up with Madness Project Nexus.
I do art and write about my OCs for fun. My friends gave me permission to do the same with their OCs.

Desktop is fried, I don't even know where they took it. Hope we can at least recover the files.

Don't expect a lot of activity in the near future.

This is how far I made it into day 9's drawing, Achilles. But currently it's past midnight, I need sleep, and there have been multiple personal issues and unforeseen events that I had to deal with. So unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to keep up the pace with the remaining days. Challenge failed, sorry to disappoint, especially for a goal as pathetic as just 15 days.

I wanted to add a bonus challenge or feature with every following day, but that would've added even more time that I might not end up having. Lemme just list the ideas I had:

  • Day 9: Achilles, GODLIKE Myrmidon commander. The background and outline colors would be swapped, as vases tend to go either way with their colors. Achilles' war cry, and him making splashes on the water (the scene takes place at the beach) resemble Goku's screaming stance when he powers up. Rest in peace, Akira Toriyama.
  • Day 10: Patroclus, advisor of Achilles. No outlines (technically), the color layer would be shaped and smoothened out as the outline and the background almost blended together anyways. He would've been sat on the floor, looking at his bandaged wounds.
  • Day 11: Athena/Minerva, goddess of wisdom. Her color layer would have a custom gold texture, and her background would have the names of different heroes that she mentored or aided (Heracles, Diomedes, Odysseus...). Her outfit would be based on her Parthenon statue design.
  • Day 12: Hermes/Mercury, messenger god of trade. He would be drawn descending knee-first from the top left, and all around the trail behind him are the souls of the dead (Hermes guides the souls to Hades in the mythology, it's pretty cool). He would also have a bag or satchel with small items pouring out, which could reference legends like the moly he gives to Odysseus.
  • Day 13: Dionysus/Liber, god of wine and theater. The camera is angled to be behind him. He is looking back at the camera with a smile while lying down, big kylix of wine on his hand. The background would be a play that he's watching, some satyrs recreating whatever scene from the mythos.
  • Day 14: Aphrodite/Venus, goddess of beauty. As with the classic painting of the birth of Venus, she would be modelled and drawn using the golden ratio in multiple places: golden ratio for her height, her face, her width, bosom... you probably get why this one would've been pretty hard and slow.
  • Day 15: Julius Caesar, deified Roman dictator. Yes, technically Julius was deified in Roman mythology and Virgil wrote in the Aenid that he's a descendant of Aeneas- and by extension, a goddess. March 15th was the day he got stabbed a bunch of times, so he was always intended for the last day. The illustration would be covered in cracks, but underneath there would be a full body of him doing the same pose as one of his sculptures.

Bonus note: that last one might've given it away, but the cracks that appear in some drawings symbolize that character's tragic death. Notice how the crack in Achilles' one is shaped like an arrow... that goes through his heel. Anyway that's it, challenge failed, gotta get back to video editing now.

Sorry to disappoint.

Not much left for the Ides of March art challenge to begin. Thank you to everyone who voted with suggestions (even though, like, one person did on Newgrounds so I guess in a way this is a shoutout to user AlfaFranek specifically).

Hey everyone! Newgrounds is gonna be a bit neglected around January. I have a bunch of drawing prompts for this year, but because I'm focusing on bigger projects first (mainly Youtube videos) my upload schedule on other platforms is gonna go down a bit.

You see, I'm close to 500 subscribers and when I hit that goal, it appears I'll be able to have channel members to make some money. I'll be trying to upload a few things so I can arrive to that goal soon.

Not to worry, the drought won't be for very long. I got a bunch of WIP drawing prompts that I couldn't finish in 2023. This one may be uploaded in May, but it's got a bit of a head start.

Sorry for the recent lack of activity, I've been pretty busy recently with my portfolio for scholarship. It's not work that I would've been comfortable sharing until finished. Now I'm in the middle of trying to get out of art block mode, because the end of the year is coming close. I still have a handful of drawing prompts I want to get out before 2024.

But enough excuses, here's a preview of my next post!

I also got two big drawings finished but they're scheduled to released later this year. Point is, please stay tuned for upcoming stuff.

Did I have limited time to reply or something? Is it because I deleted one of my posts? I am not quite sure how whatever-this-is works. I'd appreciate any comments to clarify.
